Kim Kardashian is under fire from the White House after publicly criticizing Donald Trump’s immigration raids. The reality star and business mogul shared her thoughts during an appearance in Venice last week, saying she believed many people being deported had not committed crimes.

“It’s really tough,” Kardashian explained, adding that she wanted to believe deportation was focused on safety but felt it wasn’t the case. She stressed the importance of protecting immigrants who have “supported and built our country,” noting that many of those impacted are connected to her friends and community.

Her comments quickly drew a heated response from the Department of Homeland Security. Tricia McLaughlin, the agency’s Assistant Secretary, pushed back strongly, accusing Kardashian of being “misinformed” and “detached from the very reality” of the Los Angeles operations she was speaking about.

McLaughlin claimed the raids were not targeting ordinary families but dangerous individuals. “These are the violent criminals who Homeland Security, under President Trump and Secretary [Kristi] Noem’s leadership, have removed from Los Angeles streets: murderers, rapists, gang members and child pedophiles,” she told TMZ.

She went even further, asking why Kardashian would “do the bidding of criminals at the expense of innocent Americans and brave law enforcement.”

The clash highlights the tense political debate over Trump’s immigration policies as he campaigns for a return to the White House. While supporters argue the raids are meant to protect public safety, critics like Kardashian say the crackdown unfairly harms immigrants who contribute to American society.

Kardashian has previously used her platform to advocate for criminal justice reform, including helping secure the release of nonviolent offenders. Her latest remarks show she remains outspoken on controversial issues—though this time, her comments have put her directly at odds with federal officials.
