Vivian Campbell, the guitarist of the band Def Leppard, is a very strong person. He has been battling cancer for the last ten years. Recently, he made a major announcement that worried his fans and friends.

Campbell wrote on social media, “Thank you all for your messages and support. As you know, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma several years ago. Recently, I underwent a bone marrow transplant, and it has been successful so far! Now, I need to rest for the next 100 days to fully recover.”

Vivian Campbell was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma (a type of cancer) in 2013. He explains, “It’s kind of like you beat cancer in one place, and it shows up somewhere else. But it hasn’t been too difficult. I’m handling it well and continuing to live my life.”

Campbell also revealed that initially, his doctors recommended radiation and chemotherapy, but he decided to try immunotherapy instead. This treatment turned out to be effective for him.

Now, Campbell has undergone a bone marrow transplant, which is expected to provide him with complete relief from cancer. After the transplant, it will take him a few months to fully recover.

For now, he will not be seen performing with the band, but his fans are hopeful that he will recover soon and return.
