Tyla drops her summer-ready mixtape “WWP” featuring Wizkid, blending Afro-pop vibes and party anthems just in time for Global Citizen Festival 2025.

Tyla is back with a burst of energy just in time for summer, dropping her new four‑track mixtape WWP on Friday, July 25 via FAX and Epic Records.
Fans have already gotten a taste of two of the songs—“Bliss” and “Is It”—but the mixtape adds two fresh cuts to the mix: “Dynamite,” a fiery collaboration with Nigerian superstar Wizkid, and the upbeat “Mr. Media.” Together, these tracks showcase Tyla’s knack for crafting irresistible party anthems that blend South African chants, Afrobeats influences, and her own signature pop‑R&B style.
During an intimate listening session in London earlier this month, Tyla revealed how “Dynamite” came to be.
She explained that when she dusted off an old 2022 demo, she remembered the snippet featuring Wizkid and realized it still had that spark. “It was still good, like, after three years!” she said, recounting how she reached out to Wizkid to finish the track and lock in the release. The result is an electrifying duet that pairs Tyla’s effervescent vocals with Wizkid’s smooth, charismatic flow.
The mixtape’s title—WWP, shorthand for “We Wanna Party”—reflects Tyla’s carefree outlook and her desire to spread good vibes.
“I’ve been on this tip of enjoying life, not just partying, but just enjoyment with people that I love, with people that are a vibe,” the “Water” hitmaker told attendees at the London event. She noted that “We wanna party” is a South African chant used to hype up crowds, and it perfectly captures the atmosphere she wanted for this project.
From the thumping beat of “Bliss” to the playful hooks in “Mr. Media,” each song feels like an invitation to let go and celebrate.
Beyond the music, Tyla’s star continues to rise on the global stage. She’s set to join the lineup for the 2025 Global Citizen Festival on September 27, performing on the Great Lawn in New York’s Central Park.
The star‑studded event, headlined by The Weeknd and Shakira, also features Ayra Starr and Mariah the Scientist. For Tyla, whose Grammy win already cements her status as one of South Africa’s brightest talents, this appearance will be another opportunity to share her infectious energy with an even wider audience.
With WWP now streaming everywhere, Tyla is poised to soundtrack countless summer nights. Whether you’re dancing under the sun or heading out with friends after dark, this mixtape delivers exactly what its title promises: pure party vibes.
