The countdown to TV’s biggest night just got even more exciting. The Hollywood Reporter is rolling out its own special preshow ahead of the 2025 Emmy Awards, and it’s bringing fans closer than ever to the stars and the biggest storylines of the night.

Streaming live on Sunday, Sept. 14, at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET on THR’s YouTube channel, THR’s Awards Countdown: Emmys Edition promises a mix of celebrity interviews, expert breakdowns, and behind-the-scenes coverage straight from the Television Academy’s Wolf Theatre at the Saban Media Center.

Fans can look forward to appearances from some of Hollywood’s most talked-about nominees, including Patricia Arquette, Quinta Brunson, Harrison Ford, Gary Oldman, Seth Rogen, Adam Scott, Jessica Williams, and Noah Wyle. The special will also feature a sit-down with this year’s Emmy host, comedian Nate Bargatze, as he gears up to take center stage for the live telecast.

Unlike traditional red carpet shows, THR’s preshow isn’t just about glitz and gowns — it’s designed to give viewers an insider’s perspective on how the Emmys really work. With critics and editors weighing in on industry trends, plus candid moments from nominees who are often more relaxed before the main event, the special aims to capture the excitement and nerves that Hollywood stars experience just hours before the ceremony.

It’s a chance for fans at home to feel like they’re part of the room where all the Emmy buzz is happening.

But it’s not just about star power — THR’s team of awards insiders, including chief TV critic Daniel Fienberg, awards editor Beatrice Verhoeven, and deputy awards editor Brande Victorian, will tackle the big questions swirling around this year’s ceremony. Will The Bear continue its awards sweep? Can Severance, the most-nominated show of the year, live up to the hype? Which White Lotus actor might steal the spotlight? And how will newcomers like The Studio and The Pitt stack up against fan favorites?

The preshow is also set to dive into some fun extras: a deep look at television’s most unforgettable characters, fashion highlights through the years, and exclusive nominee spotlights. In other words, it’s more than just a warm-up — it’s a full-on celebration of everything we love about TV.

Tiffany Taylor is hosting and producing the program, which is executive produced by Emmy winner Lesley Corral and Jason Rovou, with Harry Buerkle directing. The production team includes Neha Joy and Dominoe Ibarra as segment producers, plus a talented crew of editors and camera operators ensuring fans get every moment of the action.

As Hollywood’s trusted entertainment voice, THR has long delivered top-tier awards coverage, but this year’s preshow is shaping up to be the ultimate insider’s guide to the Emmys. With star interviews, expert predictions, and a peek behind the curtain, fans won’t want to miss it.
