Swedish rapper Gaboro, whose real name was Ninos Khouri, was sadly shot and killed on Thursday evening in a car park in the city of Norrköping, which is near Stockholm, Sweden. Police are investigating the incident as a suspected murder. They confirmed that a man in his 20s was found injured at the scene and later died in the hospital.
Gaboro was popular on music platforms like Spotify, where he had hundreds of thousands of listeners. His music became very well-known after his song “Browski” went viral on TikTok in 2022, and he gained millions of streams. He was also known for always wearing a balaclava and sunglasses, covering his face in photos.
After the shooting, a video started to spread online. The video showed a person firing shots at someone who was trying to run away. However, the police have not confirmed if this video is related to the incident.
Gaboro’s latest song, “Harki,” was released this year and has already been listened to over 11 million times on Spotify. At the time of his death, he had more than 226,000 people listening to his music every month.
This tragedy follows the deaths of other Swedish rappers in recent years. In June 2023, rapper C.Gambino, whose real name was Karar Ramadan, was killed, and in 2021, rapper Einar was shot in a gang-related attack.
Many people, including fans and other artists, are mourning the loss of Gaboro.
