On Monday night, Snoop Dogg had a hard time on The Voice. He had to choose who to send home during the knockout rounds. The rapper, who is usually calm and confident, broke down in tears.
Three singers from his team performed: ChrisDeo, Mikaela Ayira, and Torre Blake. All three gave amazing performances, which made the decision very tough.
“I didn’t think I would get this emotional,” Snoop said, as tears filled his eyes. “I love these three girls. You all made me proud.”
Snoop said it felt like choosing between his own daughters. “I’m so torn right now because I can’t take all of you with me,” he said. “I love each and every one of you.”
After thinking for a moment, he finally chose Mikaela Ayira as the winner of the round. “Mikaela’s voice is big,” Snoop said. “I don’t think she knows how to use it yet. With the right song, she could win this whole competition.”
ChrisDeo and Torre Blake had to leave the competition. Snoop told them he was proud of them and hoped they would keep growing as singers.
The episode also shared some other news. Mor Ilderton, a contestant from Team Gwen, left the competition. No one explained why.
This episode showed how emotional the competition can get. Even someone as cool as Snoop Dogg couldn’t hide his feelings.
