Sabrina Carpenter delivered an unforgettable performance at this year’s Outside Lands festival in San Francisco. During her headlining set on Saturday, August 10, the pop star surprised the audience by bringing out country music sensation Kacey Musgraves for a special collaboration.

The surprise moment came when Carpenter, 25, teased the crowd, asking, “Okay Bay Area, I have a surprise for you. Do you want it?” She then introduced Musgraves, 35, expressing her admiration for the Grammy-winning artist. “There’s an artist that I’ve just loved for my entire life, and she is just so remarkable in so many ways,” Carpenter said before Musgraves joined her on stage.

Together, the duo performed a lively cover of Nancy Sinatra’s 1966 classic “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’.” Fans captured the exciting moment on video, showcasing Musgraves in a stunning silver mini-dress and Carpenter in a sparkly outfit complete with matching knee-high boots.

After their performance, Carpenter enthusiastically told the crowd, “Guys, that was so cool. That was like a dream.” Musgraves later shared her excitement on Instagram, posting photos from the show and writing, “Last night was a short n sweet little dream ily @sabrinacarpenter. Thanks for having meeee.”

Carpenter’s Outside Lands set, which filled in for Tyler, the Creator after he canceled his appearance, also featured hits like “Tornado Warnings,” “Nonsense,” and her viral song “Espresso.” The performance marked Carpenter’s first time headlining the festival.

Reflecting on the night, Carpenter shared photos from her set on Instagram, expressing gratitude to her team and fans. She wrote, “headlined @outsidelands :o. thank you to everyone who came. special thank you to the angel that is @spaceykacey for coming out to sing and dance to Nancy Sinatra with me :’).”

Carpenter is now gearing up for her Short ‘n’ Sweet headlining tour, which kicks off in Columbus, Ohio, on September 23. The tour will include stops in major cities like Toronto, New York City, and Los Angeles, wrapping up on November 15.
