At her final U.S. concert for the Short n’ Sweet tour, singer Sabrina Carpenter brought fun and laughter to the stage by pretending to “arrest” someone in the audience. This playful tradition has been part of her concerts, where she selects a “Juno girl” — someone she says is “too hot” to stay out of trouble.
The concert took place at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, and this time Sabrina chose actress Margaret Qualley, who is married to music producer Jack Antonoff. Antonoff, known for working on several songs from Sabrina’s Short n’ Sweet album, first appeared on the big screen in the arena. Sabrina joked, “Hey, this is super awkward, but I’m sure you’re really good at producing. I bet you could even produce someone hotter than you!”
Antonoff then stepped out of the camera’s view, and Margaret Qualley appeared with a big smile. Sabrina quickly pointed her out and said, “This right there, ladies and gentlemen, is a hottie with substance,” referring to Margaret’s acting in the movie The Substance.
Sabrina didn’t stop there. She handed Margaret pink toy handcuffs as part of the act and added, “Margaret and Sabrina are great names to be in a relationship together.” She even joked, “Oh my God, Margaret, my clothes just fell off thinking about us. Will you be my Juno girl, Margaret?” Margaret played along and happily accepted the role, making the crowd laugh and cheer.
This wasn’t the first time Sabrina had “arrested” someone during her tour. Other celebrities, like SNL’s Marcello Hernández and actress Millie Bobby Brown, have also joined in the fun at her concerts.
While Sabrina’s U.S. tour has ended, she will continue performing in Europe next year. This tour is another highlight in her exciting year, which includes her first-ever Grammy nominations. Sabrina is up for several awards, such as Best New Artist and Album of the Year for Short n’ Sweet.
With her sense of humor and growing success in music, Sabrina Carpenter is proving to be a star who knows how to entertain her audience while creating memorable moments.
