A new queen has been crowned!

The Mrs. America pageant returned to the bright lights of Las Vegas this week, and after days of competition, Paige Ewing of Georgia was officially named Mrs. America 2025.

The glamorous coronation took place Wednesday, Aug. 27, at the historic Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, with last year’s winner Hannah Wise passing the crown in an emotional onstage moment.

Ewing, who now holds one of the most prestigious titles for married women in America, will go on to represent the United States at Mrs. World 2026, set for January.

But she wasn’t the only woman to shine during pageant week. The Mrs. America organization actually hosted three national competitions — celebrating both married and single women across the country.

The Pageant Triple-Crown: Who Won What?

The week kicked off on Monday, Aug. 25, with the Miss for America Strong competition — the only division open to women who are not married. That title went to Laesha Brewer of Texas, who wowed judges with her confidence, charisma, and stage presence.

On Tuesday, Aug. 26, it was the married runners-up from across the nation who had their turn in the spotlight. Competing in the Mrs. American division, women from every state showcased not just beauty and poise, but also dedication to family and community. At the end of the night, Tiffany Thornton of Massachusetts was crowned Mrs. American 2025. She accepted the honor from last year’s winner, Heidi Stephens, who had followed 2023’s titleholder Hannah Neeleman — the influencer behind the popular lifestyle brand Ballerina Farm.

Together, Ewing and Thornton will now carry the U.S. banner at the upcoming Mrs. World pageant.

A Tradition That Dates Back to 1938

The Mrs. America organization is no stranger to making history. Established in 1938, the long-running event has evolved into three distinct divisions: Mrs. America, Mrs. American, and Miss for America Strong.

According to the official website, the goal has always been to “feature the most accomplished married and single women of America.” Beyond the evening gowns and stage lights, contestants spend days in rehearsals, charity events, and community appearances.

Former judge and 2021 Miss for America Strong winner Kayelin Tiggs once explained some of the behind-the-scenes rules. Contestants competing in Mrs. America and Mrs. American must be legally married — even if they’re separated. If a reigning queen divorces during her reign, she’s required to step down, and the runner-up assumes the crown.

Contestants also arrive a week early for a jam-packed schedule of dinners, rehearsals, excursions, and bonding activities that make the experience about far more than just the final crowning moment.

For Paige Ewing, her year as Mrs. America 2025 is just beginning. The Georgia beauty will spend the next several months preparing for the global stage, where she’ll compete at Mrs. World against representatives from around the globe.
