Hulu’s hit murder-mystery comedy Only Murders in the Building is officially back! Season 5 will premiere on September 9, 2025, kicking off with the first three episodes, followed by weekly releases.
The show reunites its beloved trio — Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez — as Charles, Oliver, and Mabel, who dive headfirst into another murder mystery.
This time, the death of their cherished doorman Lester (played by Teddy Coluca) under suspicious circumstances sets off a new investigation. The team is convinced it wasn’t just an accident and soon finds themselves navigating a treacherous trail of secrets that leads through billionaire circles, old-school mobsters, and mysterious figures within their own Arconia building.
Season 5 promises to explore a changing New York, one where old-school crime syndicates clash with powerful new players, creating tension in the city the trio once thought they understood.
The new season also boasts a star-studded guest cast, featuring Meryl Streep, Renée Zellweger, Christoph Waltz, Nathan Lane, Logan Lerman, Keegan-Michael Key, Téa Leoni, Beanie Feldstein, Bobby Cannavale, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Dianne Wiest, Jermaine Fowler, and Richard Kind. Returning cast member Michael Cyril Creighton will also appear.
Since its debut in 2021, Only Murders in the Building has been a critical and fan favorite, earning nearly 60 Emmy nominations across its seasons. It recently snagged seven more Emmy nods for 2025, including Outstanding Comedy Series.
