Matthew Fox, best known for his role as Dr. Jack Shephard on ABC’s Lost, has been cast as a lead in The Madison, a new series set in the Yellowstone universe.

The series is being produced by Taylor Sheridan in collaboration with MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch Productions.

Fox will star opposite Michelle Pfeiffer, who has been cast as the mother of two daughters in the show. The cast also includes Patrick J. Adams, Elle Chapman, Beau Garrett, and Amiah Miller.

The Madison is a poignant exploration of grief and human connection, set against the backdrop of the Madison River valley in central Montana.

Fox will portray Paul, a self-sufficient bachelor with a deep love for the outdoors. Pfeiffer’s character is the matriarch of the family, with Chapman and Garrett playing her daughters, Paige and Abigail, respectively.

Adams will take on the role of Paige’s husband, while Miller will play Abigail’s eldest daughter.

The Madison is being executive produced by Sheridan, alongside David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Christina Voros, Michael Friedman, Pfeiffer, and Keith Cox.

Fox’s return to television comes after a hiatus from acting, with his recent role in the Stan original comedy series CAUGH*T, where he starred alongside Sean Penn, Susan Sarandon, and Travis Fimmel. He is represented by UTA, Entertainment 360, and Hansen, Jacobson, and Teller.
