Madonna announced Thursday that she’s dropping a brand-new dance album in 2026 — and she’s returning to Warner Records nearly 20 years after parting ways with the label.

For the 66-year-old superstar, the move feels like a full-circle moment. Madonna first signed with Warner’s Sire Records in 1982, launching a career that would change the face of pop music forever.

“From being a struggling artist in New York City to signing a record deal to release just three singles, it seemed at the time my world would never be the same again — and in fact, that couldn’t have been truer,” she shared in a statement. “Since the beginning, Warner Records has been a real partner with me. I am happy to be reunited and look forward to the future, making music, doing the unexpected while perhaps provoking a few needed conversations.”

The new project will be Madonna’s first album in seven years and promises a return to her dance roots. She’s reuniting with DJ Stuart Price, who famously produced her 2005 hit record Confessions on a Dance Floor — the disco-inspired album that gave fans timeless tracks like “Hung Up” and “Sorry.”

Warner Records co-chairmen Tom Corson and Aaron Bay-Schuck expressed their excitement about the deal, calling Madonna “the blueprint, the rule-breaker, the ultimate cultural juggernaut.” They added, “For decades, she has not only defined the sound of global pop music but also reshaped culture itself with her vision, innovation, and fearless artistry. This signing represents a historic, full-circle moment… setting the stage for an exciting new era of creativity and impact.”

The upcoming album remains untitled, but fans are already buzzing about what Madonna will deliver. Known for reinventing herself across every era — from the #Like a Virgin# days to her Madame X tour — she’s proven time and again that she knows how to surprise.

With her Warner Records return and a dance-floor reunion with Stuart Price, it looks like Madonna is ready to get the world moving once again.
