Kelley Mack, the Cincinnati-born actor known for her recurring role on AMC’s flagship series The Walking Dead and a wide range of film, television and voice‐over credits, passed away on August 2 at the age of 33 after a courageous battle with glioma, her family confirmed.

Born Kelley Lynne Klebenow on July 10, 1992, Mack began her on‐screen journey as a child performer in local commercials.

Her first major accolade came in 2008, when she earned an Acting Award from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts for her portrayal of Chloe in the student film The Elephant Garden. That film also captured the Student Visionary Award at the Tribeca Film Festival, signaling Mack’s early promise and artistic versatility.

In 2018, Mack joined the cast of The Walking Dead, portraying 7Addy in five episodes of the show’s ninth season.

Her character was among a group abducted by the Whisperers in the dramatic season finale—a storyline that left an indelible mark on fans and underscored Mack’s ability to bring emotional depth to genre television.

Beyond zombies, her television credits spanned guest appearances on hit series such as 9-1-1, Chicago (both Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med), Schooled (the modern Modern Family spinoff), and several notable miniseries.

On the big screen, Mack appeared opposite Harry Shum Jr. in the thriller Broadcast Signal Intrusion and held roles in Mr. Manhattan and the forthcoming feature Universal.

Off‐camera, she cultivated a robust portfolio in independent film production: she produced and co‐starred in Universal, executive produced the horror short A Knock at the Door—which won Best Film at the Atlanta Horror Film Festival—and received two nominations at FilmQuest.

As a multi‐hyphenate creator, Mack wrote, directed and edited the short Positive in 2015, and served as cinematographer for the 2014 film The Kingdom.

Voice work was another arena where Mack excelled. She served as a voice match for Hailee Steinfeld’s Gwen Stacy in the Academy Award–winning animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, showcasing her adaptability across mediums.

Mack spent the last 11 years residing and working in Los Angeles, where she balanced her on‐screen roles with commercial and voice‐over work. She is survived by her parents, Kristen and Lindsay Klebenow; her sister, Kathryn; her brother, Parker; her grandparents, Lois and Larry Klebenow; and her partner, Logan Lanier.

A funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. on August 16 at the Glendale Lyceum in Glendale, Ohio. The family plans to host a celebration of her life in Los Angeles at a later date to honor her contributions to the entertainment community and the many friends she made along the way.
