Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, has shared a personal and touching Christmas message with everyone. In her message, she talks about how important love is, especially after going through a tough year.
The message was recorded for her annual Christmas carol service, which will be shown on TV in the UK on Christmas Eve. This year has been difficult for Kate because she spent much of it receiving chemotherapy treatment for an illness she announced in March. Since then, she has not appeared in public very often. However, in September, she happily shared that she is now cancer-free.
In her message, Kate talks about what Christmas means to her. “Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year,” she says. “It is a time for presents, tinsel, and mince pies, but it’s also a time to slow down and reflect on the deeper things that connect us all.” She adds, “It is love which is the greatest gift we can receive, not just at Christmas, but every day of our lives.”
The Christmas carol concert was held at Westminster Abbey, a very important church in London. This church is special to the royal family. It is where Kate married Prince William in 2011, where Princess Diana’s funeral was held in 1997, and where Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral was held in 2022. Kate attended the carol service with Prince William and their three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Earlier this week, Kate and William missed the royal family’s traditional Christmas lunch with their extended family. However, they are expected to join King Charles and Queen Camilla for church on Christmas morning, as is the royal family’s tradition.
Kate’s message reminds us all to think about the things that bring us together and to focus on the power of love. Her words, along with the carol service, are expected to bring comfort and joy to many people this holiday season.
