Kate Cassidy, the girlfriend of Liam Payne, has shared a special video in memory of the former One Direction singer, who sadly passed away in October. This is one of her first social media posts since his death.
In the video, which she posted on December 8, Kate shared moments from her time with Liam during their two-year relationship. The clips were set to the song Fade Into You by Mazzy Star, making the video even more emotional.
The video showed Liam and Kate enjoying fun and sweet times together. Some clips showed them dancing under colorful lights, playing with a dog, sledding in the snow, eating pizza, and visiting Disneyland. There were also moments of Liam drawing a picture of Kate and the couple sharing hugs and kisses. The video ended with a touching scene of them embracing under a flashing camera light. Kate simply wrote “I love you” in the caption.
Liam Payne, who was 31 years old, passed away on October 16 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Authorities reported that Liam had traces of alcohol, drugs, and a prescription medicine in his body at the time of his death. The investigation into what happened is still ongoing.
Shortly after Liam’s death, Kate spoke about her heartbreak on Instagram. She thanked people for their kind words and support during such a hard time. “Liam, my angel,” she wrote, “I loved you unconditionally and completely, and I will continue to love you for the rest of my life.”
On November 20, Kate attended Liam’s funeral in England along with his family, friends, and former One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik. Cheryl, Liam’s ex-girlfriend and the mother of his 7-year-old son Bear, was also there, along with other close friends like James Corden and Simon Cowell.
Last month, officials in Argentina arrested three people who are believed to be connected to Liam’s death. These individuals were charged with abandoning a person who later died and for being involved in supplying illegal drugs. Their names have not been made public, and the case is still being investigated.
