‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Season 3 Premieres January 2026 – First Teaser Revealed

Get ready, anime fans—Jujutsu Kaisen is officially coming back! Crunchyroll announced during its fifth anniversary special that the hit series will return with Season 3 in January 2026, streaming weekly worldwide (except Asia) on the same day as Japan’s broadcast.
The upcoming season, titled Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game, will adapt one of the manga’s most intense arcs. And to hype things up, Crunchyroll dropped the very first teaser trailer—packed with emotional turmoil, jaw-dropping fights, and the return of some major fan-favorite characters.
In the sneak peek, Yuji Itadori struggles with guilt and despair after believing he’s responsible for countless deaths during the devastating Shibuya Incident. But he doesn’t stay down for long. The teaser teases a high-stakes battle between Yuji and Yuta Okkotsu, the lead from the blockbuster prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0.
Fans also get a glimpse of Naoya Zen’in facing off against Choso, while Megumi Fushiguro, Maki Zen’in, and Yuki Tsukumo make brief but exciting appearances.
Behind the scenes, Studio MAPPA is back as the animation powerhouse, with Shota Goshozono directing and Hiroshi Seko returning to handle the scripts. Yosuke Yajima and Hiromi Niwa are set to design the characters, ensuring the same stylish, action-heavy visuals fans love.
The Japanese voice cast will once again feature Junya Enoki (Yuji), Yuma Uchida (Megumi), Daisuke Namikawa (Choso), and Megumi Ogata (Yuta).
Jujutsu Kaisen has become a global anime phenomenon. Based on Gege Akutami’s manga—which wrapped up in September 2024 after selling over 100 million copies worldwide—the franchise has racked up awards and record-breaking success.
Season one and season two both snagged Anime of the Year at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards, while the prequel movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0 grossed nearly $180 million globally and won Best Anime Film in 2023.
With its explosive fights, emotional stakes, and dark twists, Season 3 is shaping up to be the most thrilling chapter yet. Mark your calendars—Yuji and the gang will be back in early 2026, and the Culling Game is about to begin.
