At the 77th DGA Awards, host Judd Apatow poked fun at President Donald Trump, Jeff Bezos, and even himself. In his signature comedic style, he took playful jabs at the country’s politics and Hollywood’s diversity.

According to Variety, Judd said, “My new pronouns are ‘We’re screwed.'” He also mentioned how many wealthy and powerful people try to win Trump’s favor by flattering him. Jokingly, Judd added, “I feel like I’m one compliment away from becoming Secretary of the Interior.”

He further quipped that if he wanted to please Trump supporters, he should create TV shows like The Real Housewives of January 6. The audience burst into laughter, and Judd remarked, “Note to self: Really make that show.”

Judd also made a lighthearted comment about the success of the film Wicked. He said, “Usually, to make this much money, you have to sue Blake Lively.” This was a reference to the on-set controversy between Blake Lively and director Justin Baldoni during the filming of It Ends With Us.

He didn’t spare himself either, joking, “I’m what Mel Brooks would look like if he took The Substance.” This was a nod to Demi Moore’s psychological horror film about an aging star who takes a youth serum.

Judd also took aim at Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos. He said, “One day, Elon Musk’s dream will come true, and he’ll go to Mars.” He humorously suggested that other Trump-associated figures could join Musk on this space journey, including RFK, Jeff Bezos, Brett Kavanaugh, and Peter Thiel.

Judd painted a picture of a world without them, saying, “We won’t miss them. We don’t need cryptocurrency or AI. One day, we’ll look at the sky, and everything will return to how it was before. MTV will play music videos again. People will use flip phones. Young men will leave their basements and start flirting with girls.”

He added, “Britney Spears will release a new song and put her father in a conservatorship. Pandas will start reproducing like crazy, creating millions of pandas. Everyone will get a panda.”

In conclusion, Judd said, “By leaving Earth, they made America great again.”

Judd Apatow is a renowned filmmaker who has produced several hit movies and TV shows. He is currently working on an HBO documentary about Mel Brooks and recently produced Stormy, a documentary about Stormy Daniels and the legal case that led to Donald Trump’s conviction.

Judd even joked about the owner of the Tesla Cybertruck parked outside, saying, “Please go love yourself.”

Judd Apatow’s witty humor was a hit with everyone, leaving the audience in splits.
