Josh Brolin says the call to suit up as Thanos again would be impossible to ignore — and he isn’t kidding.

The Oscar-nominated actor told Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast that if the Russo Brothers rang him from London and said, “Let’s do this,” his answer would be instant: “I’ll be there tomorrow.”

Brolin, who brought the Mad Titan to life across Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, made it clear he still has a soft spot for the role — and for the filmmakers who helped turn what began as a one-off cameo into a major MCU arc. He also revealed he’s in regular contact with the Russos, underscoring how close he remains with the team behind some of the franchise’s biggest moments.

Fans wondering whether Thanos might actually loom over future Marvel storylines got another tease when Brolin praised what the Russos might cook up for their 2026-set Avengers: Doomsday.

While nothing’s official about Thanos returning, the actor sounded bullish about the Russos’ ability to surprise audiences — and left the door wide open for creative possibilities.

Brolin didn’t just talk about the MCU. He also hyped Dune: Part Three, calling the script “super good” and saying Warner Bros. is excited about the trilogy’s conclusion — even if his role in the threequel is relatively limited.

The actor’s short but enthusiastic update adds a little extra heat to the desert saga’s long-awaited finish.

On a different note, Brolin said he’s heard real talk about another sequel in the Sicario universe — a follow-up to the 2015 original and 2018’s Sicario: Day of the Soldado — though he didn’t have hard details to share.

He described the chatter as “very, very real,” leaving fans to speculate about what that could mean for the gritty thriller franchise.

Short, candid and good-humored, Brolin’s conversation served up exactly the sort of tease Marvel superfans live for: a mix of nostalgia, possibility and the promise that, if the right phone call comes, he’ll be back in the purple armor before you can say “snap.”
