Jax Taylor, known for his role on “The Valley,” is preparing to leave the in-patient mental health facility where he has been receiving treatment for the past 30 days.

Taylor, 45, checked into the facility in late July, and his representative has confirmed that he will be heading home later this week.

“It’s been an emotional month for him, and he’s most looking forward to spending time with his son,” said the representative. Taylor shares a 3-year-old son, Cruz Michael Cauchi, with his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright.

Taylor’s decision to seek in-patient treatment came after a period of public discussion about his mental health struggles, particularly on his podcast.

His representative emphasized that this has been a sensitive time for Taylor and his family, asking for privacy as he continues to heal.

The reality TV star first made headlines on July 30, when it was reported that he had entered the facility. At the time, his representative shared that Taylor had chosen to seek treatment due to ongoing challenges in his life, particularly in light of his separation from Cartwright.

The couple, who announced their separation in February after four years of marriage, has had a tumultuous relationship over the years.

They first met in 2015, and their relationship has been documented on shows like “Vanderpump Rules” and their spinoff “Jax & Brittany Take Kentucky.” The pair married on June 29, 2019, and welcomed their son in April 2021.

Since their separation, both Taylor and Cartwright have spoken publicly about the difficulties they’ve faced. On their joint podcast, “When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany,” Cartwright revealed that she had decided to move into a separate home to focus on her mental health.

She expressed relief over the separation, noting that the space was necessary for her well-being.

Taylor also acknowledged the challenges in their relationship, stating that they had been “going through some things for a while now” and that the separation was what they believed to be “best for [their] family.”

As Taylor prepares to return home, he is also expected to resume filming for the second season of “The Valley,” which began production earlier this summer.

While Taylor has not yet shared details about his experience in treatment, it’s anticipated that he may open up about his journey during the upcoming season.

The first season of “The Valley” is currently available for streaming on Peacock, and fans are eager to see how Taylor’s recent experiences will be reflected in the new episodes.
