Jax Taylor, known for his role on Vanderpump Rules, has entered an in-patient treatment center to focus on his mental health, according to PEOPLE. A representative for The Valley confirmed the news, highlighting Taylor’s openness about his mental health struggles, especially in recent months on his podcast.

TMZ initially reported the news on July 30. The representative’s statement emphasized that this is a sensitive time for Taylor and his family, requesting privacy until he is ready to share more details.

Before entering the facility, Taylor, 45, shared an Instagram Story featuring two books: Get Out of Your Mind & Into Your Life and Set Boundaries, Find Peace, captioned “Healing,” according to TMZ.

Taylor’s treatment comes amid his separation from estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright. The couple announced their separation in February after four years of marriage. Cartwright, 35, mentioned on their joint podcast, When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany, that she moved into a new home to focus on her mental health.

The couple’s relationship, which began in 2015 in Las Vegas, was documented on Vanderpump Rules, Jax & Brittany Take Kentucky, and The Valley. They married on June 29, 2019, and have a son, Cruz Michael Cauchi, born on April 12, 2021.

At the premiere of their latest Bravo series, Taylor told PEOPLE that separating was best for their family as they had been facing issues for some time. Cartwright expressed feeling relieved and needing the space.

On a May 31 podcast episode, Taylor mentioned having lunch with model Paige Woolen and discussing the possibility of dating other people with Cartwright. He stated they are exploring all options before considering divorce.

The first season of The Valley concluded on June 4, showing the couple’s feelings about their separation. Taylor reflected positively on their nine years together, expressing love for Cartwright and acknowledging that only time will determine their future.

The Valley is currently filming its second season, with the first season available to stream on Peacock.
