Former Top Gear host James May recently said that BBC had made a wrong decision to remove Jeremy Clarkson from the show. Top Gear was a famous car show, which was hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond. This show was very much liked all over the world for its fun and friendly banter between the three.

All this suddenly ended in 2015 when Clarkson was fired by BBC. It was told that during the shooting he did not get food on time, due to which he got angry and got into a scuffle with a producer. After this incident, James May and Richard Hammond also left the show.

In an interview with The Times of London, James May said, “I didn’t think Top Gear should have ended because of this. It was a stressful environment and sometimes things went wrong. It could have been handled. We were one of the biggest shows in the world at that time. If we were like a rock band, it wouldn’t have been considered a big deal.”

After leaving the BBC, the trio did the show “The Grand Tour” on Amazon Prime Video, which ran for eight years and was a huge hit. Apart from this, Clarkson’s “Clarkson Farm” was also well-liked.

Now James May is no longer with Amazon. He said, “Amazon now either wants to do big projects like James Bond or Lord of the Rings, or very small projects. I don’t fit into that scale. So now Channel 5 is my new home.”
