Ginnifer Goodwin, known for her role as Snow White in the beloved fantasy series “Once Upon a Time,” has expressed her enthusiasm for potentially returning to the show if a reboot were to happen.

The actress, 46, who is currently working on the highly anticipated “Zootopia 2,” shared her thoughts on the possibility during an exclusive interview with PEOPLE at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California.

During the conversation, Goodwin addressed the ongoing rumors about a potential reboot or sequel series to the popular ABC show, which aired from 2011 to 2018. “I hear these rumors as well, and I am available if they [want to do that],” Goodwin revealed. “I mean, I live around the corner from the creator, so I’m sure I’ll hear things.”

Goodwin, who played the iconic character of Snow White throughout the series, emphasized her eagerness to return to the role that has been such a significant part of her life.

“I’d love to go back. My whole life is kind of built around it. I mean, I married Prince Charming. His babies are my babies,” she added, referencing her husband Josh Dallas, who portrayed Prince Charming on the show. The couple met on the set of “Once Upon a Time” and now share two children together.

“Once Upon a Time,” created by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, captured the hearts of viewers by blending classic fairy tale characters with the challenges of modern life. The show ran for seven seasons, becoming a fan favorite and leaving a lasting legacy in the world of television.

The series featured a talented ensemble cast, including Lana Parrilla as The Evil Queen/Regina Mills, Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold, Jared S. Gilmore as Henry Mills, Emilie de Ravin as Belle, Colin O’Donoghue as Captain Hook, and Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming.

Reflecting on the show’s impact, Goodwin’s husband, Josh Dallas, shared his thoughts with PEOPLE last year. “People come up to me all the time talking about ‘Once’ and saying they just started watching it and they’re loving it,” Dallas said, highlighting the series’ enduring popularity.

In addition to her potential return to “Once Upon a Time,” Goodwin is currently reprising her role as Judy Hopps in the upcoming “Zootopia 2.”

The sequel to the 2016 hit animated film is set to be released in theaters on November 26, 2025. Goodwin, who voices the determined rabbit police officer, spoke about her experience returning to the role at D23, where she appeared alongside the film’s director and producer Jared Bush.

Comparing her return to the recording booth to riding a bicycle, Goodwin explained that this time around, she feels more prepared, having the first film as a reference.

“Now I have the first movie to use as my homework, because I feel like the first time around was about finding her, and then I saw the movie and understood who the character was,” she said. To fully embrace the character, Goodwin even wears bunny ears while recording her lines.

For fans of “Once Upon a Time,” the possibility of a reboot is exciting news, especially with Goodwin’s expressed willingness to return to the series.

With the show’s availability on Disney+ and the anticipation surrounding “Zootopia 2,” Goodwin’s career continues to thrive as she revisits some of her most beloved roles.

As fans eagerly await any official announcements regarding a “Once Upon a Time” reboot, one thing is clear: Ginnifer Goodwin is ready and willing to step back into the world of fairy tales and magic, bringing Snow White back to life once more.
