Dua Lipa, a well-known English-Albanian singer, has canceled her concert in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The show was planned for this Saturday as part of her Asia tour for her new album, Radical Optimism. However, the concert will not take place because of safety problems with the stage setup.
Dua Lipa shared her sadness with fans on social media.
She wrote, “I am heartbroken to say that I won’t be able to perform in Jakarta this Saturday, November 9. I am here in your amazing country and ready to perform, but it has been decided that it is not safe to go ahead due to stage safety issues.”
The singer, known for hits like “Levitating” and “Don’t Start Now,” was excited to perform in Indonesia. She mentioned it has been a long time since her last concert there. Dua Lipa promised that fans will get their money back from the place where they bought their tickets. She added, “I love you all and can’t wait to be back together, singing and dancing our hearts out as soon as possible.”
Dua Lipa has had a great year in 2024. She was a top performer at the Glastonbury Festival. She also sold out two nights at London’s Wembley Stadium for next summer. Recently, Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
