Drake has spoken out after Kendrick Lamar released his surprise album, GNX, which has sparked rumors and plenty of talk in the music world. During a live stream with popular Canadian streamer xQc, Drake made it clear that he isn’t bothered by the stories being spread about him.
“You need facts to take me out; fairy tales won’t do it,” Drake said firmly. This wasn’t the first time he said something like this. Back in May, he released a song called “The Heart Pt. 6,” which was seen as a response to Kendrick. That track has since been renamed and re-released by Kendrick, adding fuel to their ongoing rivalry.
Drake also shared exciting news during the stream—he will be touring Australia for the first time in nearly 10 years. This announcement made many of his fans, including DJ Akademiks, excited and proud. Akademiks has been openly supporting Drake in this rivalry with Kendrick.

During the conversation, The Weeknd also came up. Drake asked xQc to stop playing The Weeknd’s song “Starboy” during the stream, saying, “Real 6ixers don’t listen to that.” This comment surprised fans, as there had been reports that Drake’s OVO group and The Weeknd’s XO team were working on ending their feud. However, it seems like things are still not resolved between the two stars.
Steve Lacy, known for his hit song “Bad Habit,” was also mentioned. Drake called him a “fragile opp” (a playful way of saying opponent) because he performed at one of Kendrick’s concerts earlier this year. However, Drake did admit that Lacy’s song was good, showing some rare praise.
Meanwhile, Kendrick is enjoying the success of GNX, which is expected to be very popular and bring in big numbers. But Drake isn’t worried, saying he won’t be taken down by rumors or made-up stories.
For now, it seems the drama between these music stars is far from over, and fans are eager to see what happens next.
