At his Amsterdam gig, Drake stopped the show to urge kindness, proclaim “my karma is straight,” thank fans and tease his new album Iceman.

Drake brought more than hits to his July 30 Amsterdam show on the $ome $pecial $hows 4 U.K. tour—he brought a lesson in kindness.
Midway through his set at Ziggo Dome, the 6 God paused the music and spoke directly to the crowd about the power of good vibes and “straight” karma.
“Never give up. Keep going, not even on some preachy s—t. This might be the moment that you need to hear it,” he told fans. Then, dropping his signature candor, Drake explained how he’s maintained nearly two decades of stardom: “I didn’t get here by being a piece of s—t. I didn’t get here by being a snake. I didn’t get here by being a dickhead. I got here by being good to people, being nice to people, and my karma is straight.”
It was a departure from the usual between-song banter—Drake even admitted, “I don’t have no jokes tonight. I usually tell a joke or some s—t, but tonight it’s no jokes. It’s just love.” He went on to thank his longtime supporters: “Trust me, and I appreciate you always supporting me, always being there for me. I love y’all.”

“Never give up, keep going. I didn't get here by being a piece of shit, I didn't get here by being a snake…I got here by being good to people, being nice to people, and my karma is straight. That's why I'm still on stage in 2025. pic.twitter.com/lxhKgtMJYV
In a tender moment that made the Amsterdam crowd roar, Drake revealed that his son, Adonis, was conceived in this very city seven years ago—adding personal weight to the significance of the three sold-out nights. “This place means a lot to me,” he smiled, reflecting on that life-changing chapter.
True to form, he couldn’t resist a teaser: “I’m working on this album for y’all, Iceman. We got a lot to talk about.” The announcement comes as Drake rolls out his next era with two new singles: “What Did I Miss?” debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, and “Which One,” his collab with U.K. rapper Central Cee, landed just last week.
After Amsterdam, Drake and special guest PARTYNEXTDOOR head to Manchester before hopping across Europe—Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Italy and France are all on the itinerary.
With fresh music on the horizon and a message about kindness at the core of his success, Drake is writing a new chapter in 2025. What do you think about his karma-first philosophy? Let us know in the comments below!
