Dave Grohl, the lead singer of the Foo Fighters, is reportedly taking steps to reconcile with his wife, Jordyn Blum, after a surprising announcement of a new baby.

According to sources close to the situation, Grohl has decided to stop working with a divorce lawyer and instead wants to focus on his family.

Grohl, 55, made headlines in September when he revealed he had welcomed a baby girl with another woman.

This announcement came just before he hired a divorce attorney, raising questions about his marriage with Blum, 48. However, insiders now say he is committed to mending his relationship with her.

A source shared that Grohl “doesn’t want to lose his family” and has been prioritizing spending time with them. “He knows he messed up,” the source said. “It’s one of those situations where you don’t realize what you have until you’re about to lose it.”

The couple, who have been married for 21 years and share three daughters—Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10—have both been seen recently without their wedding rings, suggesting the strain on their relationship.

In his initial statement about the new baby, Grohl expressed his desire to be a supportive parent to the child while also working to rebuild trust and earn forgiveness from his wife and daughters.

“I love my wife and children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” he wrote at the time.

Although they have not publicly discussed their marital status, reports indicate that Blum was aware of the baby prior to Grohl’s announcement. A separate source described Blum as a dedicated mother who remains committed to their daughters.

In light of these personal challenges, the Foo Fighters have also stepped back from their music commitments.

The band recently canceled a planned performance at the Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut, originally scheduled for September 29, which was later filled by Jack White.
