Season 33 of Dancing with the Stars promoted Sosa as a pro dancer
“Dancing with the Stars” (DWTS) has recently made several important announcements for its 33rd season, the most prominent news being Ezra Sosa’s promotion as a pro dancer.
Ezra, previously known as a troupe member on the show, will participate in the competition this time with a celebrity partner. This is a big step for him as he becomes the first Latin pro dancer after a decade in DWTS history.
Ezra Sosa debuted as a pro dancer for one episode in Season 32 of DWTS when he replaced Artem Chigvintsev due to being COVID-19 positive. Now, he has established himself as a pro on the show. This announcement is also very important for him personally, because on the stage of the DWTS he first received acceptance in his true form.

Ezra said he could not believe the news when he received this call from DWTS producers. He says that only when he meets his celebrity partner and steps on the dance floor will he realize the truth that all this is really happening.
Along with this, Artem Chigvintsev, a former DWTS pro dancer, will not be part of this season of the show. The news comes after Artem’s recent arrest, in which he was allegedly accused of domestic violence. Amid this controversy, DWTS decided not to include him for the season.
