Chase Stokes and Kelsea Ballerini, who are both famous, shared how they keep their relationship strong.
Stokes stars in the TV show Outer Banks, and Ballerini is a country music singer. They’re both 31 years old and have a special rule to stay close.
Stokes and Ballerini make sure they see each other at least once every three weeks, no matter how busy they are. Stokes said, “We don’t just talk about making it work; we actually do it. Our jobs are important, but so is spending time together.”
Usually, they live in different places because of their work. Ballerini has a house in Nashville, and Stokes works in South Carolina. Right now, they have a new home in Los Angeles so they can be closer to their jobs. Ballerini is also coaching on the show The Voice, and Stokes is busy with new projects.
When they’re together, they like to cook and watch TV shows. They have a fun rule about their favorite show, Lost: they only watch it together. If they’re apart, they don’t watch it alone. Recently, they tried to watch it from different places but couldn’t get it to work, so they watched Gone Girl instead.
This fall, both are very busy. Stokes will be in a new movie called Uglies starting September 13, and he has more projects coming up. Ballerini is releasing a new album called Patterns on October 25 and continues her role on The Voice. Stokes thinks her album is amazing and loves watching her make music.
Even with their busy schedules, they find time to support each other. They visit each other at work or just spend time together talking about their dreams. Stokes says it’s great to have someone who believes in him and supports him.
Stokes and Ballerini first started talking when Ballerini sent Stokes a message on Instagram in December 2022. At that time, Ballerini was going through a divorce. They clicked right away, even though Stokes was working far away.
When they introduced their dogs, Ballerini was worried about how they would get along. But now, their dogs are friends and play together happily.
Looking ahead, Stokes and Ballerini want to keep growing together and building a life as a couple. They believe that a strong relationship is about growing and changing together while supporting each other.
