Alec Baldwin’s Stone-Faced Reaction to Hilaria and Gleb’s Steamy ‘DWTS’ Cha-Cha
The Dancing with the Stars ballroom was sizzling on premiere night as Hilaria Baldwin made her debut with pro partner Gleb Savchenko — but all eyes were on husband Alec Baldwin’s reaction.
Hilaria, 40, performed a Cha-Cha to Jennifer Lopez’s “Let’s Get Loud,” showing off sharp moves and undeniable chemistry with Gleb. But while the crowd cheered, cameras caught Alec clapping stoically, his stone-faced expression quickly becoming a talking point online.
Before the live show, Hilaria opened up about her past as a dancer and the injury that forced her to step away. “I used to be a dancer. I had to stop because I broke my hip all the way through,” she revealed, explaining it happened from “overuse.” Determined to bring her best to the competition, she even moved rehearsals to New York to be closer to her family.
Alec, who visited rehearsals, praised her dedication. “She’s a hard worker. This was her life until she got injured, so she’s just going to give it everything she has. I’m proud of her, very proud of her,” he said. In a lighter moment, Alec even asked to “cut in” on practice, showing off some playful dance moves with Gleb. “I think they hired the wrong Baldwin,” Hilaria joked.
When it came time for the judges’ critiques, the feedback was glowing. Derek Hough called it “the best Cha Cha I’ve ever seen from a mother of seven,” praising her precision and sharpness. Bruno Tonioli gushed over her “delicious” foot placement and said she used the dance “as a conversation,” hinting that he’s eager to see what she does next.
The Baldwin kids cheered from the audience, but the sweetest family support came from Hilaria’s stepdaughter, Ireland Baldwin. In a heartfelt Instagram post, she defended her stepmom against critics. “If people actually knew her the way I do, they would be quite surprised,” Ireland wrote, joking that she wasn’t “playing nice” for an inheritance since, “I have seven siblings 😂.”
