Rising country star Alana Springsteen and renowned DJ Tiësto have teamed up to release their highly anticipated single, “Hot Honey.”

The song dropped on July 24, accompanied by a striking music video that perfectly captures the essence of the dance-country fusion.

The video kicks off with Tiësto making a cameo appearance, driving a convertible into the sunset. He eventually stops and stands by the car as a bonfire blazes nearby.

The scene transitions to him holding a lighter, the flames casting flickering shadows. The camera then cuts between Tiësto and Springsteen both holding the lighter before he discards it and walks away.

Springsteen, dressed in a fiery red one-piece, sets the sultry tone for the video as she sings and rolls on silk sheets suspended above a circle of fire.

The Virginia Beach native’s powerful vocals and captivating presence elevate the video, making it a visual treat.

In a statement, Springsteen expressed her excitement about working with the Grammy-winning DJ. “How often do you get the chance to collaborate with one of the most iconic DJs of all time?” she said.

“When Tiësto reached out to see if I’d want to get creative with him on ‘Hot Honey,’ I saw it as the most invigorating opportunity.”

Springsteen emphasized her passion for exploring different sounds while staying true to her country roots. “I’ve always loved exploring sonically and being able to do that with dance music while staying true to my Country roots – that’s what excites me about being an artist and songwriter,” she added.

She also shared her anticipation of performing the song live at one of Tiësto’s high-energy shows.

Tiësto, known for his versatility and willingness to experiment with different genres, was equally enthusiastic about the collaboration.

“I’ve always been drawn to the fun and party side of country music, so when I had the opportunity to team up with Alana Springsteen to make a country dance song, I was super excited!” he said.

Praising Springsteen’s vocal abilities, Tiësto noted that her voice provided the perfect texture for the song. “Alana has an incredible voice, which is precisely the texture this song needed, and I respect her abilities as a songwriter as well as her artistry.

This is a different sound for me but as you know by now, I like to explore and am inspired by all different genres when making dance music! I hope you enjoy this song as much as we did creating it,” he continued.

As for his upcoming projects, Tiësto is set to perform a special four-hour DJ set, “Prismatic,” which will explore various eras of his career.

He plans to debut this set in New York City in October and again in Colorado in November. In the meantime, he will be playing at various festivals and continuing his residency in Las Vegas.

Springsteen, who spoke to PEOPLE in December 2023 about her musical influences, cited a Taylor Swift concert she attended at the age of nine as a pivotal moment in her life. “I definitely wouldn’t be the songwriter, the artist that I am without Taylor,” she said.

Her debut album, “TWENTY SOMETHING,” is currently available in a three-part format, with an extended deluxe edition also available. This summer, she is on tour, opening for country stars Luke Bryan and Tyler Hubbard.

With “Hot Honey,” Springsteen and Tiësto have created a unique blend of dance and country music that showcases their talents and willingness to push boundaries.

The song’s infectious energy and the visually stunning music video are sure to make it a summer hit. Fans of both artists can look forward to more exciting collaborations and performances as they continue to break new ground in their respective genres.
