Tom Cruise, the famous Hollywood actor known for his daring stunts, has been honored with a prestigious award by France’s Aero Club. This award recognizes his contributions to aviation and his ability to inspire future pilots.

On February 8, Catherine Maunoury, the president of the Aero Club of France, presented Tom Cruise with the ‘Grande Medaille’ award. This is the highest honor given by the Aero Club, which has been in existence since 1898.

Tom Cruise received this award for his impressive use of aircraft and stunts in his films. He performs most of his stunts himself, including flying planes, skydiving, and hanging from airplane wings.

Recently, he revealed that he performed a dangerous stunt for his upcoming film, Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning. In this stunt, he hung precariously from the wing of a 1930s Boeing Stearman biplane at an altitude of 10,000 feet. He admitted that the stunt was so challenging that it made him feel dizzy.

Earlier, Tom Cruise trained to fly fighter jets for his film Top Gun: Maverick and has performed hundreds of skydives for the Mission: Impossible series. Last year, he surprised everyone by parachuting from the Stade de France to promote the 2024 Paris Olympics.

This award highlights Tom Cruise’s hard work and his passion for aviation. His films not only entertain but also inspire young people to pursue careers in aviation.
