Tom Cruise is famous for performing his own dangerous stunts. Now, Hayley Atwell, who worked with him in the film Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, has shared an interesting story. She revealed that Tom Cruise fulfilled a childhood dream on the set of this film.

In an interview with The Guardian, Hayley Atwell mentioned that everyone on the set was given the freedom to share their ideas. She herself suggested that her character, Grace, should be a pickpocket. The film’s director liked the idea and incorporated it into the story.

Hayley shared that Tom Cruise had always dreamed of performing dangerous stunts. She said,

“Tom used to say – ever since I was five years old, I wanted to jump off a mountain on a motorcycle.”

And he actually performed this stunt in the film!

Hayley Atwell has been part of the Mission: Impossible team for the past five years. She stated that there’s no actor quite like Tom Cruise anymore.

“When I started working on this film, I realized that actors like Tom Cruise don’t exist anymore. He is truly one of a kind.”

She also mentioned that Tom treats everyone on set with great respect. He wants everyone to excel and do their best. The set was a place where everyone was encouraged to try new things. She added,

“Tom wants everyone to have the opportunity to learn and grow. He never made us feel insecure on set.”

Although the film’s shooting wrapped up last year, Tom Cruise and his team are still working to make the film even better. They are reshooting some scenes and making minor adjustments.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two is set to release this May, and fans are eagerly waiting for the film.
