Bad Bunny capped his 30-date ‘No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí’ residency at El Choli on Sept. 20, bringing out Marc Anthony for a stirring rendition of “Preciosa,” surprise guest stars, and announcing a new Amazon Music-led initiative for Puerto Rico.

Bad Bunny closed his landmark 30-date No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí residency at San Juan’s Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot (El Choli) on Sept. 20 with a surprise-packed, emotional finale that celebrated home, community and resilience.

For the “Una Más” encore, the Puerto Rican superstar invited fellow icon Marc Anthony onstage for a stirring duet of “Preciosa,” the patriotic anthem written by Rafael Hernández Marín in 1937 and later recorded by Anthony for his 1999 album Desde un Principio: From the Beginning.

“I haven’t sung this song in over 20 years,” Bad Bunny told the crowd before Anthony joined him, turning the moment into a powerful tribute to their island.

The evening felt like a family reunion of Puerto Rican talent. Bad Bunny welcomed an all-star lineup — RaiNao, Dei V, Ñengo Flow, Arcángel, De La Ghetto and Jowell & Randy — while collaborator Chuwi returned to perform “Weltita,” a song the pair played every night during the residency.

Earlier shows throughout the run had also featured surprise appearances from Belinda, Residente, Feid, Rauw Alejandro and Ozuna, cementing the series’ reputation for unforgettable drop-ins.

Near the end of the night, Bad Bunny delivered a heartfelt message to fans. “I have always had the same passion, love for what I’m doing. I promise I will never change. I love you, Puerto Rico. I love you, mom and dad,” he said, later adding, “It doesn’t matter what your issue or problem is, love will always be the solution.” The remarks landed with fans in the packed arena and viewers watching the global stream.

Sept. 20 also marked the eighth anniversary of Hurricane Maria. To coincide with that day of remembrance, Bad Bunny and Amazon Music launched a multiyear initiative focused on education, disaster relief and cultural empowerment across Puerto Rico.

The partnership aims to strengthen the island’s economy and create long-term programs to support local communities.

Over the course of the residency, Bad Bunny drew more than 250,000 attendees, reinforcing El Choli and Puerto Rico as major destinations for live entertainment and delivering a noticeable boost to the local economy and small businesses.

Saturday’s finale was broadcast worldwide via the Amazon Music app, Amazon Music’s Twitch channel and Prime Video, allowing fans everywhere to witness the close of a historic chapter in Latin music.

As the lights dimmed on the final night, the takeaway was clear: this residency was more than a concert series — it was a cultural moment rooted in pride, solidarity and hope. Share your reaction — what was your favorite surprise from the run?
