Taylor Swift is heading back to the famous red sofa — and this time, she’s got a brand-new album to talk about.

According to NME, The 14-time Grammy winner will appear on the second episode of The Graham Norton Show’s 33rd season, airing Friday, Oct. 3, the same day she drops her highly anticipated 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.

Joining Swift on the BBC One talk show are Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy, Past Lives actress Greta Lee, The Acolyte’s Jodie Turner-Smith, and The Paper’s Domhnall Gleeson. Singer Lewis Capaldi is set to perform live.

A Long-Awaited Return

Swift first graced Norton’s couch back in 2013 and has been a recurring guest ever since, most recently in 2022 alongside Bono, Eddie Redmayne, and former soccer star Alex Scott. But in recent years, the pop icon has kept her talk-show appearances rare, making this comeback a big deal for fans.

In fact, she hasn’t spoken publicly about her new album on TV yet. Instead, she broke the news on her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast, co-hosted with his brother Jason.

Graham Norton himself has sung Swift’s praises over the years, once calling her “so lovely and normal” despite her unmatched global influence. “It’s like she can change the economy of a country just by showing up,” he joked in 2024.

Inside The Life of a Showgirl

The new record, co-produced with Max Martin and Shellback, is a 12-track project Swift describes as “the record I’ve been wanting to make for a very long time.” Unlike her sprawling 31-track The Tortured Poets Department (2024), this one has no secret extras. “There’s not a 13th, there’s not other ones coming,” she confirmed.

Among the songs is a starry collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter on the title track. Swift says the album reflects her behind-the-scenes emotions during the record-shattering Eras Tour. “It just comes from the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in,” she explained.

The album was recorded in Sweden in between tour dates, and Swift’s label is going big for release day — with about 500 Target stores across the U.S. opening at midnight to sell it.

Fans will be watching closely as Swift makes her return to the chat-show stage — and speculation is already swirling that she could headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2026.

For now, all eyes are on Oct. 3, when Swift’s new era officially begins.

The Graham Norton Show airs at 10:40 p.m. BST on BBC One and will be available later on BBC iPlayer.
