The principal photography of renowned action hero Jackie Chan‘s new film ‘The Shadow’s Edge‘ has concluded. Directed by Chinese filmmaker Larry Yang, the shooting began in Macau in October 2024.
‘The Shadow’s Edge‘ marks the second collaboration between Jackie Chan and Larry Yang. Previously, they worked together on the film ‘Ride On‘, which was released in over 30 countries and achieved significant success, especially in Japan and Malaysia.
In this film, Jackie Chan plays the role of a retired police officer who was a surveillance specialist in the Macau Police Service. He is called back to the force and teams up with a group of young and skilled detectives to track down a gang of clever thieves.
The film presents an engaging battle between traditional investigative methods and advanced technology. The story showcases a thrilling mind game between the police and the thieves, adding excitement to the narrative.
In addition to Jackie Chan, the film features Zhang Zhifeng, Si Sha, and Wen Junhui, a Chinese member of the K-pop group SEVENTEEN.
Furthermore, Jackie Chan reunites with Tony Leung Ka Fai after two decades. They last worked together in the film ‘The Myth‘.
The film is produced by Victoria Hon and presented by iQIYI Pictures (Beijing), Tao Tickets, and Hairun Pictures.
