Eminem made a surprise appearance at a big political rally in Detroit Tonight, showing his support for Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz.

The event also featured former President Barack Obama and took place in Eminem’s hometown, which is a city he deeply cares about.

The rally included many well-known Michigan leaders. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, former Detroit Lions player Calvin Johnson, Senate candidate Elissa Slotkin, Detroit City Council member Mary Sheffield, and Michigan Senators Gary Peters and Debbie Stabenow all spoke to the crowd before Eminem took the stage.

The famous rapper greeted his hometown with a lot of excitement, shouting, “Detroit! What up doe!” as the crowd cheered loudly.

He walked out to his 2010 hit song “Not Afraid,” and the crowd was pumped up.

During his short time on stage, Eminem talked about how important it is to vote in the upcoming election and why it means so much to him.

Eminem shared why this election is important to him, especially for Detroit and Michigan.

He said, “As most of you know, the city of Detroit and the whole state of Michigan mean a lot to me.

And going into this election, the spotlight is on us more than ever, and I think it’s important to use your voice.”

He urged everyone to vote and stressed that people should feel safe to share their opinions without fear of punishment or backlash.

He praised Vice President Harris for supporting a future where people’s freedoms will be protected.

“I think Vice President Harris supports a future for this country where these freedoms and many others will be protected and upheld,” Eminem said before introducing President Obama to the stage.

Obama’s entrance was just as exciting as the crowd hoped.

The crowd went wild when Obama walked out to Eminem’s famous song “Lose Yourself.”

To everyone’s surprise, Obama even rapped along to the first few lines of the song, making the audience cheer even louder.

Obama smiled and said, “I was feeling some kind of way following Eminem,” joking that he thought Eminem was going to perform.

“Love me some Eminem,” he added.

Eminem’s support for Harris isn’t new.

He also supported Harris and Joe Biden during the 2020 election, allowing his song “Lose Yourself” to be used in a campaign ad.

Over the years, Eminem has been very vocal in criticizing former President Donald Trump and the Republican party.

At the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards, he delivered a freestyle rap called “The Storm,” where he called Trump a “racist” and said, “we fucking hate Trump.”

Last year, in an interview, Eminem said that Trump had been tricking his supporters into believing false promises.

His criticism didn’t stop with Trump. Last year, Eminem sent a letter to Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy asking him to stop using “Lose Yourself” after Ramaswamy performed the song at a campaign event.

Eminem has a history of using his music to speak out against politicians, like in 2004 when he released the song “Mosh” to criticize President George W.

Bush for the Iraq War.

Eminem’s appearance in Detroit came just before the news that Bruce Springsteen would also be hitting the campaign trail for Harris.

Springsteen is set to perform at events in key battleground states like Georgia and Pennsylvania as part of the “When We Vote We Win” tour.

The goal of these rallies is to encourage people to vote in the final days before the election.

Other events will take place in Wisconsin, Arizona, North Carolina, and Nevada.

This election is very close.

Polls show Harris and Trump nearly tied in five important states: Michigan, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Wisconsin, and North Carolina.

According to polling averages from the New York Times, neither candidate has a clear lead in these key states.

Although Eminem has mostly stayed out of the spotlight in recent years, his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce), released in July, has brought him back into public attention.

He also shared some personal news recently in the video for his song “Temporary.”

In the video, Eminem’s daughter, Hailie Jade, surprised him with the announcement that he’s going to be a grandfather.
