Blake Lively enjoyed a relaxing birthday weekend with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, in Rhode Island.

The couple was seen sharing a sweet moment, kissing one day before Lively’s 37th birthday on August 24. Reynolds, 47, wore dark sunglasses, a baseball hat, and a button-down shirt, while Lively opted for a casual look with an orange halter top and her hair styled in a bun.

The Rhode Island trip coincided with sightings of their close friends, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, who were also spending time together in the state.

Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs player, both 34, took a break from their busy schedules—Kelce with his preseason games and Swift with her Eras Tour—to relax in Rhode Island.

Swift and Lively have been friends for nearly a decade, and Lively even joined Swift to cheer on Kelce at the Super Bowl earlier this year.

Lively and Reynolds have had a busy summer, with both their films, It Ends with Us and Deadpool & Wolverine, topping the box office. This marks the first time in over 30 years that a married couple has achieved this feat simultaneously.

The last time it happened was in 1990 when Bruce Willis starred in Die Hard 2 and Demi Moore in Ghost. Lively’s movie grossed over $50 million domestically in its opening weekend, while Reynolds’ film brought in $54.2 million.

In a recent interview, Reynolds joked about the box office competition with Lively, saying, “It’s the only time in my life I’ve ever dreamt of coming in second.” He emphasized their supportive relationship, adding, “We really root for each other.”

Lively shared a similar sentiment at the premiere of It Ends with Us, revealing that Reynolds contributed to the film’s “iconic rooftop scene” and mentioning, “We help each other. He works on everything I do; I work on everything he does.”

Despite their success, there have been reports of tension on the set of It Ends with Us. Sources indicate creative differences between director Justin Baldoni and the cast, including Lively, leading to two different cuts of the film being made.
