The popular animated series Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir has been bought by BBC Children’s and Education in the UK.

The deal includes the rights to show seasons one through six of the series, along with five special Miraculous World events. These special episodes take the main characters, Ladybug and Cat Noir, to new locations around the world, including New York, Shanghai, and the UK.

The show follows two teenagers, Marinette and Adrien, who turn into superheroes—Ladybug and Cat Noir—to protect Paris from villains. At the same time, they must deal with everyday challenges like school, friendships, and keeping their superhero identities a secret.

The Miraculous World specials feature new adventures and characters, as well as exciting changes in the setting. Fans in the UK will now be able to watch all six seasons of Miraculous on the CBBC channel, as well as the new special episodes.

Maria Doolan, head of content partnerships at Miraculous Corp, said that this agreement will give UK viewers a chance to enjoy the full story of Miraculous, from the first season to the newest episodes.

Sarah Muller, senior head of commissioning at BBC, explained that the show’s action-packed plots and themes of teamwork, bravery, and responsibility make it a great addition to their kids’ programming lineup.

In the UK, Miraculous is also available to stream on Disney+, Pop TV, and Netflix, where viewers can watch the first four seasons and two special episodes. Fans can look forward to the premiere of season five on CBBC later this week.
