Last Saturday, Harry Styles lookalikes gathered at Soho Square in London for a fun contest.

The event was organized by journalist Katrina Mirpuri and drew a big crowd. More than 100 fans, mostly young women, came to watch. It followed similar contests for Timothée Chalamet in New York and Paul Mescal in Dublin.

Twelve contestants took part, all trying to look like the famous singer. They were judged in four categories: best style, best hair, overall best lookalike, and even the worst lookalike. The top prize was £50 (about $60). Other winners got beer, wine, or haircare products from the brand Wavy.

The lookalikes varied a lot. Some looked like Styles with his messy curls, while others looked quite different.

The contest started with one participant in a mask, pink beanie, and hoodie, making some people think it was the real Harry Styles. However, it was just another fan having fun with the crowd.

One standout was Keenan Gregor, a 32-year-old from Toronto. Known as “blonde Harry,” he heard about the contest from his girlfriend. Even though he didn’t win, Gregor enjoyed the experience. He said, “Harry’s out here being iconic, why can’t we all?”

Another popular contestant was 36-year-old Andy Bradley, called “Daddy Harry” because of his silver hair. Bradley used to work at Pleasing, Styles’ own store. He often got told he looked like a mix of Styles and One Direction member Louis Tomlinson.

Despite not winning, Bradley had a great time and felt closer to the Styles fan community. “I love his music,” he said. “I’m excited for his new album.”

Two lookalikes stood out the most: Oscar Journeaux and Mitch Rothwell. Journeaux dressed in a cozy brown leather jacket and scarf. Rothwell went for a red carpet look with a red tweed jacket and pearls.

Both had Styles’ curly hair and charming dimples, making it a tough choice for the judges.

In the end, Journeaux was named the winner. After his win, he shared a funny story about being mistaken for Styles. “I once missed a train because someone wanted my autograph,” he joked. Journeaux plans to use his prize money to buy a new guitar pedal for his band, Parlay.

The contest was filled with laughter and singalongs to Harry Styles’ songs. It was a fun way for fans to celebrate their love for the singer and his unique style.
